You may have noticed it at the gas pump.  Prices are going back up. During the last month there has been a $0.29 increase in the price of a gallon on regular unleaded gas in Nebraska. In Iowa, the hike is $0.28 a gallon. Right now, Iowa is averaging $3.47 a gallon. Nebraska is averaging $3.46 a gallon. "The big reasons behind the big push upward is rising crude oil prices.  Crude oil prices right now in the U.S. are trading for about $102 per barrel and that is up about $6.00 a barrel from what we had seen just a few weeks ago," said Rose White, AAA Nebraska Public Affairs nestalgia Director. Another factor in the hike is that crude oil production is down in the US which is due to the colder temperatures. Refineries are also undergoing seasonal maintenance which cuts down on production.
