Joey "Jaws" Chestnut, is known for winning the traditional competition every July 4 is celebrated in the amusement park of Coney Island (USA). Joey posted record, eating 69 hot dogs 10 minutes, so it becomes seven times champion.
With his seventh title accrued, Chestnut managed to supplant the achievement reached by Takero "The Tsunami" Kobayashi, baked corn dogs who racked up 2007, six titles in the competition sponsored by the restaurant Nathan's hot dogs in buns.
Meanwhile, the first place in the female category was dominated once again by Sonia "The Black Widow" Thomas, who has grabbed the first position in this competition since it was launched in the women's version three years ago. Thomas ate 36 hot dogs, although his achievement was well below its record high last year, when on 10 minutes ate 45 hot dog.
