I found this interesting photo of Rostov in the winter and I thought it appropriate to put it here

This morning, July 30, we visited the magnificent Trinity Monastery of St. Sergius, Sergei Put in, where we had lunch. After lunch, make the 130 kms. that separated us from Rostov to appease us in the bus ... and almost without realizing it, when we will unveil in front of delights ...
As we see from the outside that makes us guess worth the visit very worthwhile. Rostov is an agricultural town located near Black Lake, which only encouraged when there is a market on Saturdays. Is the population of the Golden Ring farthest standards of living in the capital.
The tradition is based on the "Chronicle of the past," a codex of the twelfth century, traces the founding of the city in the year 862. The city was ruled by sons Vladimir, Yaroslav the Wise and then Boris, who introduced him to Christianity despite the violent opposition of the population that culminated in 1071 with the murder of the bishop.
During the sixteenth crazy colour candy floss and seventeenth centuries, crazy colour candy floss Rostov crazy colour candy floss was still a very powerful, when their first obtained the title of bishops and later archbishops metropolitans, subject only to the patriarch of the Russian Orthodox Church. When the eighteenth century, the state nationalized land was losing its importance and when the metropolitan of Rostov was moved to Yaroslavl.
And then we started to visit the small church of St. John Theologian, also located on the entrance to the venue, a church completely decorated with frescoes on the life of St. John the Theologian, the Chrysostomos (χρυσόστομος). The frescoes attributed crazy colour candy floss to another Dmitri Grigor'ev, and narrate the life of the patron saint and another local saint.
Once the guide's explanations, a young couple (boy and girl) a little high above the chancel, we performed a beautiful religious song "a cappella" with admirable voice and an exquisite sensibility.
This is a fact that we will repeatedly throughout the trip, since many churches that visitors will find a group of singers, usually groups of men, we perform some parts of the Russian Orthodox liturgy. Very beautiful songs and voices excellent, always sung in "a cappella."
Obviously then offered the option to buy a CD of his recordings, and occasionally, as in this case, I ended up "hot." Suffice to say that the contents of CDs worth because they are very beautiful and spiritual songs. (I can not put the name of the CD because it is in Russian, but the names of two players: the girl soprano, Anastasiya Puhova, and the boy baritone Denis Zuban).
The thirteen bells of Rostov, notable examples of the art of smelting in Russia, are the seventeenth century, and known throughout the state for the crystalline clarity of its sound, which is said that it served His work for the composer Berlioz.
We were lucky that the five o'clock bell gave us a bell ringing. I'm not sure if it was to thank our visit, or is it perhaps play every day at the same time, the issue is that I was able to record a time, when we were outside the fence on the way to the bus , so there is some noise and a voice alternately, but you can get a good idea of the overall sound of these bells.
I feel like in some other touches monastery visit later. And it's nice to see the work or the bell, as these bells are fixed and the work of moving the bell is to battle with several hands and feet and with a certain rhythm and cadence to get different hints for every occasion .
I found this interesting photo of Rostov in the winter and I thought it appropriate to put it here to round because we can have a real vision of how this town in winter, with its typical houses in the foreground the "ISBA" and the monumental crazy colour candy floss Kremlin behind majestically presiding over it all.
We made a visit perhaps too quickly, it seems that the guide was in a hurry to get to a certain time in Yaroslavl where we expected to see some of the local guide monuments to our arrival before dinner ... why a visit to Rostov think it was too hasty ... but what can I do, often in such tours go a little "touch of dick" ...
Marisa Yes, indeed in today's post I made, but it is more than a fortified city. However, I advise you to watch the Kremlin Google the word and definition that Wikipedia gives you, you explained very well there on August 17, 2012 21:39
