I have stood in many a store, in the kitchenwares section, staring at various needed items in despair. Take a simple muffin pan. It took me months to find one not made with some sort of teflon non-stick coating. pirates cove colorado My mind hums with questions while searching for safe, green and healthy items for the kitchen. Is it plastic? Is it non-stick? Safer alternatives are hard to find. Until now! I don’t have to face these dilemas in big box stores anymore. MightyNest has launched a kitchenware collection . It is loaded with safer items free of concerning chemicals and materials such as Teflon, BPA, lead, aluminum, and melamine. You’ll find glass bakeware , ceramic cookware , stainless steel cooking essentials , glass dishware , canning jars and more. To celebrate, I’ve teamed with MightyNest for a giveaway. It’s been a long time since I’ve pirates cove colorado done one of these! I am a big fan of popcorn. To avoid the chemicals (and the waste) in popcorn bags, I stand at the stove and cook popcorn in a pot. I’ve often ended up with burnt popcorn, and in one case, a melted fleece jacket. Thankfully, MightyNest now carries a microwave Glass Popcorn Popper . According to MightyNest: “With Catamount’s Microwave Popcorn Popper, making healthy and delicious popcorn is simple. Pour your kernels of choice into the 2.5 quart container, place your desired amount of butter in the silicone melting lid, and microwave for 2 minutes and 45 seconds. As the butter melts, it will drip through the lid and evenly coat the kernels as they pop.
The Microwave Popcorn Popper is made from borosilicate (laboratory glass) and is dishwasher safe. The large glass handle pirates cove colorado becomes warm, but not hot, for easy transfer to bowls.” Yum! Are you a popcorn fan? Add a comment to this post for a chance to win.
